My Drug Store Deals this Week!

After seeing yesterday’s Sunday paper loaded with great coupons, I decided to head straight over to the drug stores to grab a few deals. You have until Saturday night if you’d also like to grab some of these. Remember to request a rain check if they are out of something!

Walgreens:
FREE Aquafresh Kids Toothpaste (no out of pocket except tax and filler item)

CVS:
$.99 Claritin for Kids
FREE Colgate Max Toothpaste (after Extrabucks)
$1.00 Right Guard Mens Deoderant (after Extrabucks)
$1.00 Right Guard Mens Bodywash (after Extrabucks)
$3.99 Lysol Heathly Touch Hand soap system (I actually paid only tax because I used Extrabucks from a previous transaction)

See below for details on how I did each transaction.

Walgreens:

FREE Aquafresh Kids Toothpaste

(use $1.00 off coupon from yesterday’s Sunday paper PLUS the $1.00 off coupon in the Walgreens savings booklet). If you buy one toothpaste but use both coupons, you will also need to buy a small, cheap little filler item, such as a caramel or something, since Walgreens’ registers will not accept more than one coupon per item.

CVS:

$.99 Claritin for Kids

Kids’ Claritin is on sale for $7.99 a bottle. There is a $7.00 off coupon from last Sunday’s newspaper (Raleigh only). After coupon I only paid $.99 which is an AWESOME deal!

FREE Colgate Max Toothpaste (after Extrabucks reward)

Colgate Toothpaste is $2.99 each. I used a $1.00 off coupon from last week’s paper so I only paid $1.99 plus tax. I then got back $2.00 in Extrabucks after I paid. You can do this twice and earn $4 in Extrabucks.

$1.00 Right Guard Mens Deoderant (after Extrabucks)
$1.00 Right Guard Mens Bodywash (after Extrabucks)

Both of these transactions work the same. You can choose any combo of Right Guard Deoderant or Bodywash. Each is on sale for $3.00 so I bought two and used a $2.00 off coupon from Sunday’s Raleigh newspaper. I paid $4.00 plus tax and then got back $2.00 in Extrabucks.

$3.99 Lysol Heathly Touch Hand soap system (I actually paid only tax because I used Extrabucks from a previous transaction)

It’s on sale for $6.99 and I had a $3 off coupon from last Sunday’s paper. After coupon I paid $3.99. If you want this you could do the above transactions and then use some of the Extrabucks that you earned above towards the Hand Soap System. This is what I did so it only cost me $.48 plus tax.

I’m sure there are other great deals this week at CVS and Walgreens; these are the ones I chose to take advantage of! What did you find at the drug stores this week?

Neosporin Freebies and Money Maker at Walgreens

Did you notice the FREE Neosporin deal going on Essentials Trial Pack Deal going on right now at Walgreens? I think Neosporin is something that pretty much everyone can use so I was excited to see this deal. Here’s how it works.

The trial pack is on sale for $12.99. You can use this coupon to get an additional $5 off! So at the register, you will pay $7.99 plus tax.

Then, there is a simple rebate form to print online at www.neosporinessentials.com/freebate. Go there, print and fill out the form and mail it in by April 15th and you will receive a rebate check in the mail for $12.99. Thus, you come out $5 ahead, having made $5 on the deal.

It is a little extra work than normal, having to deal with the rebate, but to make $5 off the product I will probably go through with it! Be sure to get a rain check if they are out because you can still do this deal and pay the sale price next week if you grab that rain check.

One question I always get is, “Will the company give me the full rebate even though I only paid $7.99? Won’t they only refund me $7.99, then?”

My experience with these rebates has been that I always get the full price regardless of any coupons I redeemed. So, unless this time is different, you should still get the $12.99 back, even if you use a coupon to pay less than that.

Let me know how it turns out for you!

PS- Other Walgreens freebies this week include The 14-day Acai Berry Fat Burn Cleanse. Pay $10 and Walgreens will immediately give you a $10 Register Reward back at the register.

Also, get free Mars candies (single size 1.1 to 2.17 oz) such as Snickers or M&Ms. They are on sale 2 for $1, so you must buy two. If you use $1.00 off 2 coupon from Sunday’s paper (March 18th), you get both candy bars for free!

Reach toothbrushes and toothpastes are on sale for $.99 (if you give them the in-ad coupon found on page 12 of the Walgreens flyer) so after I use the $1.00 off coupon from the March 4th Red Plum insert, those will also be free.

Finally, I will probably grab the Carefree pantiliners, as they are on sale for $.99. After I redeem my $1.00 off coupon from Sunday’s paper, they will also be free.

Easy Walgreens Deal- $.24 Right Guard Total Defense Men’s Body Wash!

Here’s an easy deal that you can grab through today at Walgreens. Remember, if they are out of an item, grab a rain check and do the entire deal another week.

First, you need to print TWO copies of this coupon. The coupon says $2 off 2 Total Defense Anti-Perspirant, Deoderant, or Body Wash.

Then you need to buy FOUR of the body washes. They are on sale for B1G1 Free, so you will get two of them for free.

Your total will ring up to $4.98 (not sure if this includes tax) but you will then get back $4 Register Rewards from Walgreens! You can use those towards something else in the store on your next trip or immediately.

I love it! I plan to do the Schick Razor Deal (see previous post) and then use those Register Rewards to pay for my body wash! Or I may do it in reverse- either way I earn $4 in Register Rewards when I’m done. Also, seeds are on sale at Walgreens this week so I hope to grab a few packs for my garden!

I’ll update on how the deal turned out once I’ve done it! Thanks to Whitney from Kouponing with the Kerlers for pointing out this great deal.!

Walgreens- Cheap Razors Abound- Get Yours this Week!

One of my favorite things about doing drug store deals is getting nice, quality, name-brand razors for a fraction of the normal cost. In fact, I like to joke about how before I couponed, my husband got the cheap-o dollar store razors! Now that I coupon, there are times where I pay less than a dollar for the fancy razors!

Walgreens has a great deal on razors this week. It’s even better if you have a coupon or if you have Register Rewards from last week that you can roll over into the transaction for this week. Below is an explanation of the deal:

Schick Hydro Razor (men) or Schick Hydro Silk (women) is on sale for $9.99

When you buy one, you get back $4 in Register Rewards (Walgreens money) that you can spend on a future purchase.

You can also use a coupon from the newspaper to bring down your out of pocket cost. There was a $2 off the mens and a $4 off the women’s razor in the Feb. 26th Smart Source Coupon Insert from the Sunday paper.

So here’s what the transaction looks like:

Women’s Razor
$9.99
minus $4 off coupon
$5.99
minus my $5 in Register Rewards from last week
$.99 for the razor!
After I pay, I will get back $4 in Register Rewards! So I have made $3.01!

Men’s Razor
$9.99
minus $2 off coupon
$7.99
minus my $5 in Register Rewards from last week
$2.99 for the razor!
After I pay, I will get back $4 in Register Rewards! So I have made $1.01!

You can save the $4 in Register Rewards that you earn this week for next week or redeem it immediately for something else that you need.

Final note- you can do this transaction as many times as you want at Walgreens, provided you don’t use the same Register Reward that you earned for the razor to try to earn another razor Register Reward. If you do, it won’t print out! So you may want to alternate transactions.

If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me an email at delly@dellysdeals.com!

Easy Walgreens Money-Makers and Freebies!

I made $.75 purchasing these items. Total Value: $11.48!

I dropped by Walgreens this morning and grabbed two quick freebies. Both can be done without coupons but in order to make it a money-maker you will need one coupon.

The first was free Colgate Total Advanced. It is normally 3.49 but it’s on sale at Walgreens through Saturday night for only $3.00. The best part is that you get a $3.00 Register Reward back after you pay, making it essentially free! For those who are unfamiliar, Register Rewards are printed out after you pay, shaped like a rectangle, and they are like money at Walgreens. They can be used to purchase anything in Walgreens except prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, lottery or stamps. Some Harris Teeter locations will accept Register Rewards, too, although this seems to be hit or miss.

This is a Walgreens Register Reward. Don’t throw it away- it’s like money!

The deal gets even better if you have the $.75 off Colgate Total Advance coupon from the paper a few weeks back. If you do, you only pay $2.25 (plus tax) for the toothpaste but you still get back $3.00 in Register Rewards to spend! In this case, you end up making $.75!

The other easy deal is for Walgreens Nasal Mist Spray. I love this stuff for when I have a cold and my nose is irritated. It’s non-medicated and great for cold relief. Normally is is $7.99 when not on sale. The name-brand costs $9.99. This week it’s on sale for $5.00 and after you pay, you immediately get back $5.00 in Register Rewards! It doesn’t get much easier than that!

So I bought both items and paid in two separate transactions. This is what I did:

Transaction #1
Colgate Total Advanced 4 oz Toothpaste- $3.00
minus my $.75 off coupon=
$2.25 plus tax out of pocket
I got back: $3.00 in Register Rewards

Transaction #2
Walgreens Nasal Spray 4.25 oz- $5.00
minus my $3.00 in Register Rewards=
$2.00 plus tax out of pocket
I got back: $5.00 in Register Rewards

Total Out of Pocket: $4.25 plus tax
Total Register Rewards Remaining: $5.00!
Total Value Purchased: $11.48

Summary: Essentially I made $.75 AND got $11.48 worth of product for free!

I will be doing a drug store deals workshop this Saturday, March 10th at 1:00 or 3:00 p.m. at NE Regional Library in Wilmington. If you’d like to learn more about how to get great deals at drug stores on your medicines and other items, join me and get $2.00 off for bringing a friend. RSVP here!

Tylenol Precise Freebie at Walgreens!

An easy freebie is a rare thing to come by at the drug stores. Often “freebies” at the drug store require you to buy something and pay out of pocket first, and then get reimbursed through the form of a reward buck program.

Well, here’s an easy freebie that you can get through Saturday night at Walgreens and it requires no out of pocket (except for $.35 tax)! You get the new Tylenol Precise heating pads for free!

You will need the $5 off coupon that came in last Sunday’s Raleigh News and Observer paper. It was not in the local Wilmington Star News.

The Tylenol Precise normally costs $7.99 but it’s on sale for $5.00. After your $5.00 off coupon, it’s free! Easy peasy!

I hear it’s good stuff, too. Three come in the box. I got home tonight and was eager to try it out but I realized that it says do not wear overnight so I will try one out tomorrow. Basically they are heating pads to take care of pain. I believe they are non-medicated, so they’re a good option for those who try to avoid taking medicines for everything.

Let me know how you come out with this deal!
