One tip I always give at workshops is to sign up for email newsletters! Give your email to any business, restaurant, retail or grocery store that you like or frequent because when they run specials, offer coupons or do giveaways you will often be one of the first to know.

Ruby Tuesday has a free newsletter called So Connected. I have been getting it now for about two years. They send me great coupons and today they informed me that tomorrow (Thursday, September 18, 2014) is National Free Cheeseburger Day. I’m not sure if this is something they just invented or an actual national celebration but the point is that they are giving away a free cheeseburger with the purchase of any adult entree! But this is ONLY to their So Connected email newsletter members. They sent a special code for this offer in my email that I cannot share.

If you are interested in this offer, you could click here for a last-ditch effort to sign up for So Connected and see if you can get in on tomorrow’s freebie. If it’s too late, sign up anyways and you will be ready for the next fun giveaway.

One final tip is to create a “coupon email.” I never did this but some people love the idea. They open a free email account somewhere like Gmail and name it something like “sallyscoupons@gmail.com” etc. This way they can check it for offers and news but do not end up with tons of junk mail coming to their personal email. On the other hand, I worry that if I have a separate email to check I would forget to check it and may miss out. So I have all of these things come to my personal email which has been fine for me.

Kids Eat Free at IHOP

Happy April Fool’s Day!

This April is a great month to have breakfast for dinner! Why? Because IHOP is offering kids eat free EVERY DAY for the month of April. With each adult entree purchased, kids get to choose one item off of the kids menu at no cost.

Just a little FYI- if you haven’t been to IHOP lately, you may not know that they have an extensive lunch and dinner menu, in addition to their delicious breakfast selections. I actually ordered a really good pot roast and mashed potatoes dinner there a few months ago and I was impressed.

The only catch about the kids eat free is that it must be dine in from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. So, if you were planning to have some of IHOP’s yummy breakfast, you will have to wait until evening for your pancakes if you want the kids to eat for free.
