Delly’s Deals Weekly Radio Show Notes

Thank you to our sponsors, I Am Salon and Day Spa, Memories of a Child Children and Maternity Retail Shop, and Medical Simplicity. Please take a look at and support these local businesses, as they help make the radio show possible!

This week on the Delly’s Deals Radio Show, I shared my weekly deals and we are talking about budgeting.

I totally blew my weekly budget last week because there were so many deals! But I’m still under my monthly budget, so that’s okay. My budget is $75 per person per month, so since I have five people in my family, that’s a budget of $375 per month. for me (honestly, I round it up to $400). Budgets can change, according to life changes (for instance, I had two in diapers last year, so my budget was a bit higher). If your kids are growing and eating more, you may need to adjust your budget a bit. What’s important is that you choose one that fits your family’s needs and stick to it, using cash if possible.

Contest:

Don’t miss out on Food Lion’s Private Label Sale. You get $.25 off four every Food Lion brand item you buy, minimum of four. This could really add up, especially if you focus on the cheaper private label items like biscuits, cat food, single bottled waters, etc. I have heard that the cat food is $.10 per can after the private label discount.

Here are a couple of fun retail/restaurant deals going on this week/weekend:

FREE Bath and Body Works Lotion (New Scent- Pink Chiffon)
$10 off $40 at Pier One
All You Magazine Subscription for only $1 an Issue (has $100+ coupons in it, so well worth it)
Free Subway Breakfast the last week of January\
Dollar General $5 off $25 purchase

Have a great weekend, everyone and I will see you here tomorrow for the weekly newspaper and coupon review!

Celebrating my 100th Blog Post!!!

Today marks my 100th Delly’s Deals blog post! I can’t believe how fast 100 posts has come around and I am amazed at what Delly’s Deals has turned into.

Firstly, I should thank you for sticking around with me this long! When I wrote my first post back on April 1st of 2011 (exactly six months and two days ago), I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing. All I knew was why I was doing it- I really wanted to talk about coupons and saving money! I wanted a place where local couponers could come to find information on what’s going on here in Southeastern NC. To my surprise, I have had readers from all over the world, including Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Russia! I’m not sure if they even coupon in all of those places, but I’m still glad to have you as readers! I have truly enjoyed sharing deals and information with all of you and look forward to continuing to find interesting savings-related information to post about.

In celebration of my 100th post, I will be doing a fun giveaway for a FREE, one-year subscription to All-You Magazine! For those who are unaware, All-You Magazine is the best magazine out there for couponers. Not only does it have interesting articles, but it is also LOADED with coupons each month! I believe there are normally around $100 worth of coupons each month in the magazine. Not only that, but they are great coupons- high value ones and lots of food coupons. There is also a table of contents in the front of the magazine with all of the coupons listed, in case you need a reference later.

The best way to get All You is to subscribe on their website here or  here on Amazon. The price is the same. There are specials on the magazine run by various websites throughout the year, but Amazon consistently has a good price on the subscription. Currently the price is $19.95 for 12 months, which comes out to $1.66 per issue. You will certainly cover that cost in one issue’s worth of coupons. I do know that All You can be found in Wal-Mart; however, I hear it tends to sell out. Please let me know if there are additional locations where you have found All You Magazine.

In order to quality for the drawing, you must be a follower of my blog. Many of you follow me on Facebook, but since I am celebrating my blog this week, I will draw names specifically from followers of the Delly’s Deals blog. It is easy to follow me- simply look to the right and click the “Join this Site” button. You will then be directed to sign in with either your Google, Yahoo or Twitter ID. It is easy to join and once you do, you will be notified each time I write a post. This way, you are sure to get any info about sales that I may post right away and be one of the first to know!

I will draw names for a winner from all of my followers next week, Monday, October 10th, around noon and I will post the winner here first.

Again, thank you so much for reading. I am honored to have you as a reader and please do stick around, as I have some exciting developments for Delly’s Deals headed our way in the next few months!
