Have this entire meal for as little as $7.65 at Harris Teeter Leland or $8.05 at all other HT stores! (Add $1.74 ($.99 in Leland) for the Dr. Pepper TEN 12-pack)
Each week I want to show how you can make a great meal for a family of four for less than $10 by using coupons! So often people think you can’t really put meals together with coupons, so I want to show that you can.
Help me come up with a better name for these posts! I would love something more creative than “Bargain Meal of the Week” lol!!!
This week our main course is pork chops since they are B1G1 free at Harris Teeter.
Country Crock Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Birds Eye Vegetables/Rice
Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake
Altoids Mints (you’ll need these if eating garlic potatoes :))
Optional: Dr. Pepper 10 (12 pack)- no printable coupon available; used Spring Savings coupon from 3/3rd Sunday paper.
Total Cost: As low as $5.55 (or only $5.00 at HT Leland) (add the 12 pack soda for $1.74 more). My meal was higher because the garlic potatoes I wanted were out, as well as the type of veggies and rice, but perhaps you’ll have better luck!
Pork Chops, on sale at Harris Teeter for B1G1 free (half off) this week, plus use this printable coupon for $1 off pork. I got two packs today for only $3.86!
Birds Eye Veggies with Rice, on sale at Harris Teeter for $1 plus use this printable coupon for $.50 off making them FREE in Leland or $.30 everywhere else (coupon specifies the whole grain blends but most Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggies are on sale for $1 even if you can’t use the coupon)
Country Crock Garlic Mashed Potatoes Sides, only $.99 after this printable coupon. I couldn’t find the garlic mashed potatoes in the store so I got regular potatoes, which were a little more.
Heinz Gravy, FREE after this printable coupon (no more prints available- they ran out)
Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake, FREE in Leland or $.25 at all other HT stores with this printable coupon
Altoids, FREE at HT Leland or $.15 at all other HT stores with this printable coupon.
We had this for dinner tonight, minus the cake. I just didn’t feel like baking a cake after working today. We even had left over pork chops for lunch tomorrow. I will share my pork chop recipe below:
Baked Fried Pork Chops
Spray baking pan with cooking spray (I used glass pan)
Make batter using flour, season salt, pepper and salt
Rinse pork chops, cover with batter
Place in pan, spray pork chops with cooking spray
Bake for 15-20 minutes on 375
They came out so tender! My husband doesn’t care for batter, so I made his by simply pan frying them on the griddle with salt and pepper and a little seasoning salt.
