Each week I want to show how you can make a great meal for a family of four for less than $10 by using coupons! So often people think you can’t really put meals together with coupons, so I want to show that you can.
Help me come up with a better name for these posts! I would love something more creative than “Bargain Meal of the Week” lol!!!
This week our main course is pork chops since they are B1G1 free at Harris Teeter.
Dinner Menu:
Pork Chops
Country Crock Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Heinz Gravy
Birds Eye Vegetables/Rice
Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake
Altoids Mints (you’ll need these if eating garlic potatoes
)
Optional: Dr. Pepper 10 (12 pack)- no printable coupon available; used Spring Savings coupon from 3/3rd Sunday paper.
Total Cost: As low as $5.55 (or only $5.00 at HT Leland) (add the 12 pack soda for $1.74 more). My meal was higher because the garlic potatoes I wanted were out, as well as the type of veggies and rice, but perhaps you’ll have better luck!

We had this for dinner tonight, minus the cake. I just didn’t feel like baking a cake after working today. We even had left over pork chops for lunch tomorrow. I will share my pork chop recipe below:
Baked Fried Pork Chops
Spray baking pan with cooking spray (I used glass pan)
Make batter using flour, season salt, pepper and salt
Rinse pork chops, cover with batter
Place in pan, spray pork chops with cooking spray
Bake for 15-20 minutes on 375
They came out so tender! My husband doesn’t care for batter, so I made his by simply pan frying them on the griddle with salt and pepper and a little seasoning salt.
