My name is Delly. I am married with four children, ages six, four, two, and an infant. I love my family, my country and third, I LOVE to get a good deal! I decided to start this blog as a way of inspiring others to keep more of their money in their pockets by saving on their groceries and in other areas of their life. I learned to coupon from a friend and have lowered my grocery bill by at least 50%, some months even more and we now have more food in our house than ever before! I frequently pay less than a dollar for many groceries (name brand) and often get items for FREE! This blog will show you how.

      Hi Lacey,

I am so sorry I didn’t see your comment sooner! It got tagged as spam so I never saw it. Thank you so much for the Rite Aid tip- I adjusted my filter so please let me know if you ever see any other awesome deals there that I can share!

      Hi Heather,

I do not know- I don’t think so! The HT in Leland is a special case where they are competing against a new Lowes Foods store. Unless you also have a new Lowes Foods near the HT in Surf City they are probably not tripling. I live in Wilmington and I wish ours would triple, too! Sometimes I drive to Leland which is 20 min away but lately I found it more worth my time to stay in Wilmington and shop. I still save tons of money with doubles. Thanks for dropping by; let me know if you have any other questions!

I have a question. Since Lowes foods is doing super doubles this week, will they still triple under 1$ in Leland?

Hi Christy- sorry, just saw your comment. I’m sure you figured it out already but the Leland Lowes Foods does do both events at one time- they did triples and Super Doubles, so basically all coupons multiplied in some way!

The Meuller’s coupons in the Smart Source flyer as well as the ones printed online specify on them – NO DOUBLING – so the pasta does not end up being free, but still a good price at .45

      Hi Vanessa,

Yes, it is a setting on your computer but I think it might be different for each computer. On mine you go into the default printer settings on your computer and change it there. I may eventually put a video up showing how to do it on my computer but that may not apply to everyone.

Thought I saw a reference to a way to save on cable with your story of dropping cable 4 years ago. Cannot find it in the archives and I don’t remember the particulars…and REALLY would like to know a good alternative to Time Warner Cable. Thanks for your help!

      Hi Faye,

Yes! That was on Facebook. We have basic cable now so we can see local news and about 8 other channels. That runs us about 9 dollars a month. We also do Netflix, which has TONS of TV shows and movies and some of everything else and that runs about 9 dollars. So for less than $20 a month we have plenty to watch.

You can hook your laptop up to the TV to watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. An even easier option is to get a Roku Box, which you hook up just like a cable box and it will allow you to play and see Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and a bunch of other shows without having to hook your computer up all the time. It is really neat! I will send you the link to your email.
