Staples: FREE Bag and FREE Batteries Reminder

Upcoming Couponing Workshop: Sat. Jan 12th. Coupons for every attendee!

Click here to register now or host your own for host rewards!

I want to remind everyone that Saturday, December 29th is the last day to get your FREE batteries from Staples. The 16 pack of AA and AAA Duracell batteries are the ones that count for the promotion. Buy them now, use your Staples rewards card, pay for them, and then next month in your email you will receive 100% of the cost of the batteries back in the form of Staples rewards. I love these rewards because you can use them to buy anything else in the store. I normally use mine to buy ink for my printer or paper.

Last week I bought two packs of the AA batteries in preparation for Christmas. Here’s the beauty- I paid $0 out of pocket because I used Staples rewards from last month to pay for my batteries. I had earned $40+ in Staples rewards for purchases that I made in the past. I paid for the batteries with those rewards and I will receive 100% of what I paid back next month in more Staples rewards!

Also, tomorrow is the last day to do the 15% off anything in the bag deal from Staples. Go to the front counter, request your FREE cloth bag (it’s pretty nice- you could use it for grocery shopping- use at CVS with your green bag tag and get $1 for every 4 times you provide your own shopping bag). Anything you can fit in the bag is 15% off at Staples. The last day for this promo is Sat. Dec. 29th. Click here to print the paper that you will need to have them scan to do this deal.

Staples really is one of my favorite stores due to their generous rewards policy, great sale prices and amazing customer service. If you strategically use their programs, you can rack up in a big way!

Proctor and Gamble Coupons this Sunday!

P&G Jan 2012

Learn how to slice your grocery bill by 50% or more! Come to a workshop to learn all the details and have fun. Click here to register or contact me to host your own for rewards!

I wanted to alert everyone to remember your Sunday newspaper this week (Sunday, Dec. 30th). There will be one coupon insert in the newspaper- a Proctor and Gamble insert, a.k.a. P&G. IT will have $85 worth of coupons in it, even more value if you count the coupons that will double or triple.

For those who are unfamiliar with Proctor and Gamble, it is a coupon booklet that normally comes out only once a month, the first Sunday of the month or the Sunday before the first of the month. It usually has between $60-$90 worth of household coupons from brands such as Tide, Gain, Puffs, Charmin, Pantene, Pampers, Dawn, Gillette, LUVS, Duracell etc. Food coupons are few in the Proctor and Gamble insert (generally speaking, I expect my food coupons from the Smart Source or Red Plum inserts).

However, you will find that many of the CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens deals tend to match P&G coupons. Also, Harris Teeter has e-coupons, called EVIC coupons, that you can download to your VIC card. Often, I notice that the P&G coupons from the newspaper also have matching EVIC coupons, so that means you can use both the newspaper P&G coupon plus the Harris Teeter EVIC coupon on the product which will really save you a ton.

Tip: Always check your newspaper before you leave the store AND on days like this coming Sunday where there is only one Proctor and Gamble insert, I usually just get the local Wilmington newspaper instead of the Raleigh paper since they will all have the same P&G insert. The Wilmington paper is a little cheaper than the Raleigh paper (only $1.50 vs. $2.00).

Have a great weekend!

Harris Teeter General Mills/Betty Crocker Promo

fly_GeneralMills_20121218

I love it when the grocery stores/manufacturers do promos. That means you buy a certain amount of an item and you get bonus money either off your bill or back once you pay.

This week at Harris Teeter there is a whole sheet of promos that you can do. Remember that you can also apply coupons to these promos to make the deals even sweeter. They can be repeated multiple times, too but only one reward per transaction, so if you want to do it more than once, you will need to do a separate transaction.

Promo #1

Get $5 off when you buy 3: Betty Crocker Premium Brownies @$2.99 each

Buying 3 will bring your total to $8.97-$5.00 bonus= $3.97, or $1.32 per box

Promo #2

Get $5.00 off when you buy 3: Nature Valley Granola Bars or Trail Mix ($3.45 each), Cocoa Puff Treats, Lucky Charms Treats ($3.29 each), Fiber One Bars ($3.59 each)

*PLUS I have coupons for the Nature Valley Bars for $.50 off 2.

Idea:

Buy 3 Nature Valley Granola Bars= $10.35

Use coupon for $.50 off (it doubles)= -$1.00

Bonus Reward -$5.00

Total= $4.35 for three boxes ($1.45 each)

Buying 3 Lucky Charms or Cocoa Puff Treats will bring your total to $9.87-$5 bonus= $4.87, or $1.62 per box

Promo #3

Get $5 off when you buy 3 Betty Crocker, Sunkist, Fruit Gushers, Ocean Spray, Fruit Roll Ups, Simply Fruit or Fruit by the Foot Snacks @$2.79 each

Buying 3 Fruit Snacks will bring your total to $8.37-$5 bonus= $3.37 or $1.12 each.

Promo #4

Get $3 off when you buy 3: Progresso Dinners @$4.49 or Wanchai Ferry Dinners @$4.99

Buying 3 Progresso Dinners makes them $3.49 each; Buying 3 Wanchai Ferry Dinners makes them $3.32 each after the promo

I have seen better prices on these items but they are still significantly lower than they would be. Best deals for this promo appear to be the Fruit Snacks and the Cereal Bars, both of which would cost you more per bar at Walmart or Sams Club.

FREE Honey Nut Cheerios, Saturday Only!

honey nut cheerios

If you can make it to Leland, NC for your weekly shopping trip, you will be rewarded with not only triple coupons going on, but also with FREE Honey Nut Cheerios!

It’s easy- tomorrow’s Saturday special is General Mills cereals for $1.97. You can choose from Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reeses Peanut Butter Puff, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios.

It happens that I have a printable coupon here for Honey Nut Cheerios. It is for $.50 off and it will triple at Harris Teeter in Leland, making the cereal only $.47.

But then, Nancy C. from the Delly’s Deals Facebook page reminded me that there is also a Harris Teeter electronic (EVIC) coupon for an additional $.50 off, bringing you 3 cents in the positive, which you can keep!

You’ve gotta love making money buying your groceries. Albeit, 3 cents isn’t much but I’m just excited to get the cereal for free!

Note that at all other Harris Teeter stores, the coupon will not triple, so your total will be $.47 if you use both my printable coupon and the $.50 EVIC coupon.

Organize your coupons in a stylish binder!

My CVS Trip- Saved Saved Almost 75%!

2012-12-11 23.06.06

I did a trip to CVS on Tuesday night and got nearly $50 worth of items for only $14 and change. It was awesome! I was able to stock up on medicines for my children as well as 50 ct Advil for myself. I also got an Axe for men set for my brother (made money on it) and Christmas candy. Everything was name brand.

I did have to do separate transactions, which is allowed at CVS. I just try to be polite about it and offer the person behind me an opportunity to go before I do another transaction. Fortunately, it was night and not super busy.

I started out with $8 in Extrabucks left over from last week that I had earned. So I was able to use those towards the deals I got yesterday.

See the CVS flyer for details on the medicine promo. Buy 2 select medicines and get $3 in Extrabucks for doing so. There were many to choose from including Advil, Dimetapp, Robitussin. There are matching coupons for everything and you still earn the bonus Extrabucks even if you use coupons!

Below I have listed my 5 transactions. Note that almost all of the coupons are available for you to print right here on my website- click at top where it says “printable coupons” to find the coupons that I used so you can get these deals, too!

Transaction #1

2 Children’s Advil 4 oz, on sale for $4.99, used 2 coupons for $1 off, plus my $8 in Extra Bucks

I Paid: $.70 tax only!

Earned: $3 in Extrabucks for my next purchase

Transaction #2

1 Children’s Advil 4 oz

1 Adult Advil 50 ct

1 Infant Advil

1 Robitussin 4 oz

I used 4 coupons for $1 off each medicine (from my website and Sunday paper), plus $2 CVS coupon for the Advil (got it from the CVS coupon machine), and $3 in Extrabucks from my first transaction.

I paid: $10.96 plus tax

I got back $6 in Extrabucks after I paid

Transaction #3

I bought 1 Axe for Men gift set for $9.99

I used: 1 coupon for $3.75 off an Axe gift set plus the $6 in Extrabucks that I earned from the second transaction

I paid: $.24 plus tax and got back $2 in Extrabucks after I paid (money maker- yay!)

Transaction #4

I bought a bag of Christmas Reeses 8.5 oz and Hershey’s Kisses 8.5 oz on sale for 2 for $6.

I used a coupon from my website for $1.10 off the candies plus the $2 in Extrabucks that I earned from the third transaction

I paid: $2.90 plus tax and got back $1.00 in Extrabucks!

Transaction #5

I bought 3 of the 3 Musketeers candy bars (they are on sale for B1G1 for $.25)

I used a coupon for B2G1 free plus the $1 in Extrabucks that I earned from the fourth transaction. Total was $1.06 before my Extrabuck.

I paid: $.06 plus tax for all three candy bars!

I bought 3 of the 3 Musketeers Candy Bars (on sale for B1 G1 for $.25) and
